“I like cancelled plans. And empty bookstores. I like rainy days and thunderstorms. And quiet coffee shops. I like messy beds and over-worn pajamas. Most of all, I like the small joys that a simple life brings.”
I’m reading on old superstitions and:
“Do not go out collecting nuts on Sept 14th, holy Rood Day, as the devil will be out nutting too!”
September 14th: the day the Devil nuts
some witches carry their hearts on their sleeves, healing others even though it hurts them deep inside
some witches hold their hearts close to them, cradling the broken pieces behind closed ribs and heavy eyes
some witches leave their hearts everywhere they go, whispers of a love lost following them and enchanting those who only got a whisp of their magick
some witches give their hearts to those they trust completely, to the moon and the trees, to the sky and the ocean, to every person that comes along their path
in the end, no matter where their hearts lay, witches give their all to everyone and everything, and that is the most beautiful thing i can think of
shoutout to people with simultaneously great and terrible memories. like oh yeah i remember in perfect detail that random story you told about the banana costume from a year ago but all of novemeber? completely blank.
